In conjunction with 400th anniversary celebrations of the Battle of Kringen, an International Gathering of Clan Sinclair will join the 2012 Pillarguri Days in Otta, Norway. Participants should arrive in Oslo by Monday 20 August 2012; an early draft of the Gathering itinerary (Adobe Reader required) is pillarguri2012.pdf.

Our Chief, Malcolm Caithness says the clan have been allocated a number of hotel rooms in the Norlandia Hotel, "where we have always stayed on our visits there. It is central, convenient for the activities, friendly and good and almost everyone speaks good English."

To reserve your place in the Clan Sinclair Gathering of 20–27 August 2012, and hold your hotel room for this Gathering, contact the CSAC President, Jim Sinclair.

Our CSAC Past President, Rory Sinclair, tells us, "Terry Campbell [the wee drummer man] who was behind the camera on the tour and John Marc Hamilton, the man who recorded my CD last year, have produced this fine HD video that captures perfectly the good will, good cheer and the ineffable good spirits of the celebration of Clan and Family at the 2010 Gathering of Clan Sinclair in Wick Caithness."

"Have a look — it is truly wonderful ... http://www.xrays.com/clansinclair/ or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VButxD5b9Dw best wishes Rory in Toronto"

After more than 40 years, the Halifax Highland Games & Scottish Festival has been permanently cancelled. An undated announcement at HalifaxHighlandGames.com attributes the decision to "rising costs, sponsor fatigue and the difficulties of finding adequate committee replacements."

The Games Committee thanks all participants for countless hours of enjoyment and wonderful memories.
